CANCELLATION POLICY


  • Reservation

    Before reserving for your Event online at LocalBizSeminar, please be sure about the dates, times, services needed and quantity of people you are booking for. If you are not sure, do not call to make a reservation or reserve online until you have confirmed dates and people. After approval by us, you will get a confirmation email, indicating all particulars, including the agreed-upon Fee for your event.

  • Cancellation by You

    We understand that circumstances may arise which may change your Seminar plans, after you make a Reservation and get it confirmed by us. This may be due to illness, a business trip, lack of registered attendees, insufficient preparation time, availability of the speaker, etc. You can request a cancellation or postponement of your Event. Simply contact us.

  • Cancellation by Us

    LocalBizNetwork reserves the right to cancel scheduled Events. On rare occasions, we must cancel or change your scheduled event, due to unforeseen circumstances, such as access to building or parking lot, electricity supply, illness, lack of Internet access or computer/projector availability. In the unlikely event that your Event does not take place after your booking has been confirmed by us in writing, we will make every effort to reschedule the Event and you will be offered an alternative date and time.

    If this occurs, as specified in our Terms of Service for LocalBizSeminar, our responsibility is limited to a refund of any Event fees you've already paid. LocalBizNetwork is not responsible for airline tickets, other tickets, hotel and travel expenses or payments for food or drinks that you may have paid for, or any similar penalties that you may incur as a result of any Event cancellations or changes. We will not bill you for any food or drinks that we may have purchased on your behalf.

  • Refund

    Keeping such emergencies in mind, we will gladly give a full refund for any reservation cancelled with a minimum of 48-hours notice prior to the Seminar start time.  If cancellation occurs within the 48-hour period prior to the Event dates, you will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the Event fee quoted and agreed upon. If advance payments were made, refunds usually show to your account within 30 days, although not guaranteed, depending on whether it is treated as credit towards your next event, or if the same Event was postponed. Because we are a small business and there is high demand for our Seminar Room accommodations, we must enforce a strict cancellation and no-show policy.

    LocalBizNetwork regrets that it may not be able to make exceptions to the reservation and cancellation policy for any reason, including personal emergencies. The reservation and cancellation policy applies to all reservations, regardless of whether or not a LocalBizNetwork representative has notified you otherwise.

    Other services reserved which are outsourced by LocalBizNetwork may be subject to their own cancellation policies imposed by them. Examples are video-recording services, handout printing services, online Web-casting services, etc.

  • Postponement

    You may also reschedule a reserved Event 48-hours prior to the Event at no charge. For most regular LocalBizNetwork customers, full payment is usually not required at the time you make the reservation, only after the Event has taken place. We will make only partial refund payments if cancellation occurs within 48-hours of Event start time or if the presenting party elects not to appear for the Event (a “no show”) without notification to us.

    If you postpone your Event, you can change your reservation online on a space-available basis on a future date at no extra charge. You must contact your LocalBizNetwork representative as soon as possible regarding your situation and make arrangements to get your new date and time confirmed as soon as possible.

  • Notification

    You must notify us directly if you need to cancel your confirmed Event, in one of two ways. You can contact LocalBizNetwork by phone on weekdays between 09:00 a.m. and 05:00 p.m., PST, at 408-359-2452 and speak with us or leave a message. You can also submit your cancellation request in writing by emailing to support@localbizseminar.com, as long as it is more than 48 hours before your Event. Your email must specify the Event date, time and topic.

  • Calendar Update

    The online Calendar at www.localbizseminar.com showing all events will be updated to show your Event as Cancelled or it may be removed from the Calendar, but this may take a day or two, and thus cause misleading public information meanwhile. So, we strongly suggest that you take it upon yourself to indicate your cancellation or postponement to attendees who have registered with you ahead of time, or email to your own database of invitees.
